Melissa "Red Missy" Wilson - Melissa studied cello performance with Samuel
Smith at Boise State University receiving her degree in 2008, and is currently
in her last semester in pursuit of a Masters in cello pedagogy. Melissa has
collaborated with musician Thomas Paul, playwright Heidi Kraay, the Off Center
Dance Project, and B-CEMF, among others.
Jake "Samurai" Saunders - Jake, 22, is currently pursuing a MM in music performance at Boise State University as an inaugural member of the Ezra String Quartet, Boise State’s Graduate String Quartet Fellowship. Jake received his BM in cello performance from the University of Michigan in December of 2011, where he studied with Richard Aaron. Jake also recently completed a semester of study in Paris, France, with concentrations in art history through the University of Michigan and cello performance through the Paris Conservatoire.
Micah "Wolf-boy" Claffey - Micah began his cello studies with Samuel Smith (Langroise Trio) in Boise Idaho and in 2002 became a member of the Boise Philharmonic. He later went on to study music at Vanderbilt University where he obtained his bachelors of music in cello performance. At Vanderbilt he was winner of the collegiate concerto competition and the Jean and Alexander Heard Prize. In 2010 he earned his masters in cello performance at Rice University while studying with Norman Fischer. Micah is currently the Classical Music Director at Fresco Arts Academy and is a founding member of the Caldera Piano Trio.
Kyle "Shifty" True - Shifty is a junior at College of Idaho studying Cello Performance. He is principal cello of the College of Idaho Sinfonia and a member of the C of I String Quartet. Kyle has been principal cellist and concerto competition winner for the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and was selected to represent Idaho at the National Symphony Summer Institute at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Shifty's namesake is Shifty Powers, legendary sharpshooter from Easy Company during WWII.
